Overview Of The Course

The exercise prescription for the senior client certificate course offers the PTA and COTA the ability to learn at their own pace how to program muscles that have been affected by the deconditioning cycle. Using the Stretch Methodology through an online training allows you to learn as you work.

Classroom Instruction 

Instruction includes lectures on The Stretch Methodology, Testing baselines, program Development and HEP considerations. 

Lab Practical Application

Lab sessions focus on problem solving, progression and regression analysis of exercises, based on presentation  Combined with coaching strategies.

Programming Lab

Development of evidence based programs 
For complex clients, considerations of health and wellness parameters of care for the PTA, OTA.

Required Pre-Requisites 

All students must hold and maintain an active PTA or OTA license in the state they practice their specialty in. Students are required to upload their license at checkout

No, you must hold an active license to register for this specialty course.

What will taking this course allow me to do differently than I do now as a PTA or OTA?

This course provides a PTA or OTA a specialty certificate in assisted stretching and mobility. Providing you advanced education and training to allow you to go solo without a PT or OT while aligning with your PTA or OTA license. 

What ways can I use my assisted stretching and mobility certificate?

This certificate provides you with skills necessary to work with any population outside insurance based PT/OT care. Typical but not at all inclusive: Specialize in senior fitness, Kidfit, work with athletes working alongside athletic trainers and PT’s, work in AL or IL senior facilities providing stay in place care to decrease the progression of sarcopenia in the senior population. Work in PT, or chiro clinics providing specialized programming for the complex client, Work in gyms, and personal training studios, fitness centers and yoga or pilates studios to offer 1:1 care or group class offerings that align with your state license. 

How long will it take me to earn my specialty certificate?

The certificate program is a learn at your own pace program. Allowing you to learn as you work in your current position. Then when you have completed your certificate course you can join our solo business academy for PTA, OTA assisted stretching and mobility  certificate holders.
